Price:

• $80 upon submission for assessment of price; absorbed in contract if service accepted
• One-third due upon contract; balance due when manuscript is ready
• Reduction for students of certain schools
• Three-week window for scheduling is expected; rush jobs may be double the usual price

Types of editing:

• Proof reading (grammar and style (e.g., verb tense, units and numerals), capitalization, punctuation, spelling and word usage
• Copy editing (style, repetition, word usage, jargon, flow, spelling and grammar)
• Citations and References (cross-referencing of citations and reference list; addition of details where available; proper format).
• Formatting (Turabian Citation/Reference List and Footnote/Bibliography and Chicago Style Manual, incl headings, captions, table of contents, pagination)
• Substantive Editing (Structure, logic, coherence, sufficiency, evidence) This is usually addressed by your thesis/portfolio advisor.
